WHAT IS GIRL WRESTLING PODCAST?
Thanks so much for asking. Girl Wrestling Podcast is a weekly podcast celebrating women’s professional wrestling stories, in and out of the ring. We expect to post our first episode on April 17, 2026, which is the weekend of Wrestlemania. The excitement around “The Super Bowl of Sports Entertainment” should be a solid launchpad for our show.
Ok, what else?
There are plenty of wrestling podcasts out there, but a very small minority of them are focused exclusively on women’s wrestling. The few women’s wrestling podcasts are either specific to a niche (like the now defunct The Joshi Pod that focused specifically on Japanese women’s pro wrestling) or recap shows that are hosted by women, but discuss the industry as a whole. Our show is both more holistic and more specific, exploring the world of women’s wrestling as a unique vector unto itself. Our closest comp is probably Women’s Wrestling Talk, but we hope to stand apart with our sense of humor and scrappiness. (We also believe that a rising tide lifts all ships, and the more people talking about women’s wrestling fans as a segment of the industry worth serving the better.)
